Kansas

As of July 1, 2019, Kansas exempts the sale of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion and coins from state sales tax. This exemption covers coins and bullion (bars, ingots, or medallions) where the value depends on the metal content rather than its form.

Numismatics coins made of gold are generally tax-exempt.
