The Jenga Economy: One Block Away from Collapse

The Illusion of a “Strong” Economy

Most people believe the U.S. economy is strong. That’s what we’re told, over and over again. But Lynette Zang reminds us that this system is more like a tower of Jenga blocks jobs, money, and prices stacked neatly on a shaky foundation.

Some of those blocks at the bottom are already wobbling, but we can’t see it. And now, with the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) removed, the numbers we rely on have become even murkier. It’s like playing Jenga without knowing which blocks were already pulled out.

Weak Job Growth and Hidden Revisions

In August, the U.S. added only 22,000 jobs far below expectations. Unemployment rose to 4.3%, the highest since 2021. While the media called it a “small bump,” Lynette calls it what it is: the tower losing its balance.

Even worse, earlier job reports were quietly revised downward. June, once reported as a gain, actually lost 13,000 jobs. Active job postings have been declining since 2022, a trend most people haven’t noticed.

Then came the real shock: On September 9th, the government admitted that 911,000 jobs between January and March 2025 never actually existed. The markets had celebrated those fake numbers all year, boosting prices and confidence based on data that simply wasn’t true.

Warning Signs the Media Ignores

These revisions and rising unemployment rates are clear warning signs. People are staying unemployed longer, yet the markets are still celebrating because they expect the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates.

Lower rates encourage more debt, more spending, and more illusionary growth temporarily making markets look strong. But every time the Fed takes this path, the value of the dollar drops and inflation rises.

As Lynette points out, this is a trap. The Fed is under pressure to “fix” the economy with cheaper debt, but doing so only deepens the instability. You can’t steady a wobbling tower by pulling out more blocks.

From Deflation to Inflation: The Endless Cycle

When job losses rise, that’s deflationary it means there’s less money circulating. The government’s only weapon against deflation is to create inflation. More printed money, more borrowing, more artificial growth.

It’s like trying to steady the Jenga tower blindfolded. Each “solution” weakens the system further. And while the dollar wobbles, physical gold and silver are making new highs because people and central banks alike are moving into assets that actually hold value.

Gold and Silver: The Solid Blocks of Stability

Unlike paper promises or manipulated statistics, physical gold and silver don’t crumble. They don’t rely on central banks, interest rates, or political narratives. They are tangible assets that preserve wealth through every economic storm.

As Lynette says, these metals are the solid blocks in your personal financial tower. They form the foundation of true wealth preservation and financial freedom, especially as the larger system shakes.

Building Your Own Financial Tower

At Zang Enterprises, we teach people how to build their own strong, independent financial towers. The foundation starts with sound money strategies owning physical gold and silver but it expands far beyond that.

You add:

  • Food, water, and energy security
  • Barter ability and community support
  • Wealth preservation and shelter

Together, these create resilience. So even if the global “Jenga tower” falls, your personal system remains stable. It’s not just about money it’s about freedom, safety, and control.

The Power of Community and Sound Money

Imagine if every neighborhood built its own mini-tower: gardens, trade, and trust. Local communities are the glue between the blocks, holding everything together when larger systems fall apart.

When we work together, we don’t just survive we thrive. And with sound money as our foundation, we can take our power back from the debt-based system.

Lynette believes that if just 3% of the population converts their wealth into sound money redeemable gold and silver we could demand fiscal responsibility and accountability from our government. It’s a peaceful revolution, one built on tangible action and financial sovereignty.
